Satan Will Come At You
“…Can this be the one who shook the earth and the kingdoms of the world?...” Isaiah 14:12-17 NLT
Inevitably someone will hurt you by betrayal, lying, or just what seems like simple mental anguish. It will happen and Satan is behind it all.
As painful as this hurt is, most of us put our energy into anger against the individual we suspect of having hurt us or just by seeking revenge. Some even pray that God may strike them simply because we are told “vengeance is mine” (Deuteronomy 32:35). Brothers and Sisters all that we are doing is making matters worse for all, including ourselves.
The next time someone hurts you and believe me it will happen, use your God given power to work;
•Satan – Yes Satan is the perpetrator, identify him as the influence that is bringing those that have hurt you to that point. Face Satan head on, you have been given the authority to not only meet him and defeat him but you have the assurance that nothing he can do will injure you:
•“And I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.” Luke 10:19 NLT. Jesus speaks to us in this verse very clearly I have bolded, italicized and underlined the last statement there to make sure you understand that nothing Satan can do will injure us!
•The Word of God – Go at him, go right at Satan with the Word of God, we have been taught to evoke the Name of Jesus, Jesus who defeated Satan on that cross on our behalf, Jesus, God on earth on gave us the authority to defeat Satan.
•Pray – Jesus tells us not to retaliate, Jesus does not want us to take the law into our own hands. By loving and praying for our enemies will overcome evil (Satan) with good. If we love our enemies and treat them well, we will truly show that Jesus is Lord of our lives. And this is only possible if we fully deliver ourselves to God, because only he can deliver people from natural selfishness.
We must trust the Holy Spirit to help us show love to those for whom we may not feel love. We must remember that God has great mercy, and that mercy is not just for the believer but for everyone!
Satan will think twice before he attacks you again, he has been identified and defeated!
